Data Required for Registration

Information such as your name, username, email address, mobile phone number, gender, date of birth, sexual orientation, photos, location, and social media login details may be collected ("Registration Information") when you download the app and create an account ("Account") (this could include, for example, your Facebook and Instagram accounts). Linking additional accounts to Bumble is discussed in detail in section 7 below.

Except for your date of birth and location (which is automatically updated based on the location of your device if you have given Ability 2 Love access to your location in your device settings), you will have the ability to review and change this information at any time simply by logging in to Ability 2 Love. Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date profile is your duty. Be sure to modify your account information if you get a new phone number.

We use this data to make the app better and to ensure that our users are real people and not machines trying to access the app. Users who access your profile may be able to see your sexual orientation, name, and username that you provided during registration.

Details for Confirming Your Profile (Including Biometric Information)

For security purposes and to provide you with the greatest experience, we request that all Users verify their accounts. This process may involve us asking for your phone number and, in some cases, requiring you to submit a photo of yourself. Please prove that you are not a robot so that we may continue. We may need this confirmation to safeguard against fraudulent transactions. The blue'verified' emblem can be added to your profile if you choose to voluntarily validate your photo.

Each profile picture you provide will be scanned if you choose for photo verification. In order to verify your identity, we may utilise facial recognition software in conjunction with the scan to compare the photo you provide with your profile picture. Your profile will not be updated with the verification images. We preserve the scans for as long as we need them to authenticate you in the future and for our record-keeping purposes, which is three years after your last engagement with us. After the expiration of the relevant retention period, we erase the scans permanently and securely from our systems using commercially reasonable means.

Acquisitive Transaction Data

If you elect to pay for one of our premium services, we'll handle the financial transaction and store your sensitive data safely for fraud detection and audit/tax reasons.

When it comes to stopping fraudulent payments from going through, Ability 2 Love relies on automatic choices as part of its anti-fraud measures. The way we do this is by monitoring financial transactions for activity that would point to a violation of our Terms and Conditions of Use. A transaction may be automatically rejected if it fulfils specific criteria indicating that the Terms and Conditions of Use have likely been exceeded and the transaction is likely to be fraudulent. Users whose transactions are prohibited will receive an email explaining why. If they disagree with this decision, they can contact Ability 2 Love.

Please be aware that as part of our anti-spam and anti-fraud policies, any other accounts you may have on Ability 2 Love Group platforms/applications, such as Badoo, may also be blocked if your account here is blocked.

Ability 2 Love may gather information about WiFi access points and other location information such as longitude and latitude and may record your device's coordinates in order to provide you with certain features if you have enabled location services on your mobile device. By identifying your location, we can tailor the App to your preferences and make it simpler for you to connect with other Users by, for example, displaying your general locality information to other Users who view your profile or displaying the profiles of other Users who are in close proximity to you.

Suppliers of Services

When it comes to specific tasks and services, we rely on reliable outside parties ("Service Providers") to help us out. Depending on the specifics of a User's interaction with our App, Sites, and services, Ability 2 Love may share personal information with a different set of vendors. Some of the common vendors we work with to bring our services to our Users are listed below.

  • Billing support, so users may buy premium content within our app (for example, Google Play)
  • Account Authentication Services, which verify a user's identity before granting access to their account (for example, Twilio)

Companies offering social media platforms that enable users to create or link their Ability 2 Love account to their existing account(s) on those sites (for example Facebook, Instagram or Spotify)

To better our products and services, we do market research and consumer surveys through external platforms (like Typeform) and firms (like Kantar).

  • Technology and related services (IT) - some of the third-party software providers employed in the running of our business may process Users' personal data (for example, if a User contacts us via social media with a support inquiry, their inquiry is processed by our community management software provider Khoros)

We only provide personally identifiable information that is strictly necessary for the Service Provider to perform that Service, and we conduct due diligence on all Service Providers we employ to ensure they have suitable data protection and information security safeguards in place. Every effort is made to ensure that the information provided is de-identified to the fullest extent possible, and our vendors are subject to stringent duties under our contractual arrangements, including rigorous data retention restrictions.

Organizations That Offer Marketing Services

To market and advertise our App and services on third-party websites and applications and to monitor the efficacy of our advertising campaigns, we work with providers of marketing services (such as Facebook, for example) ('Marketing Services Providers'). For instance:

Ability 2 Love will use the information it collects to: • keep you from seeing ads for new users if you already have an account; • target ads to people who have visited the Ability 2 Love app/sites but haven't signed up for an account; and • build a target audience of people who might be interested in our ads based on the information the Marketing Service Providers already have about you (a "Lookalike Audience") (a custom audience is essentially a list of people who we think are most likely to be interested in a particular advertisement).

We provide these Marketing Services Providers with limited personal information, including: • the advertising identifier associated with your device (this is a random number assigned to your device by your mobile device manufacturer, for example Apple or Google, to help advertisers (including the manufacturer) know when an ad has been viewed or clicked in an app, and when an ad causes a 'conversion' (for example, downloading the app advertised to you)); • your estimated location; and (based on your IP address)

Information about your use of our Sites or App and any related actions (for example if you downloaded our App or created an account with our App)

  • a masked (hashed) version of your email address (used for targeting specific groups of people).

*Hashing is a kind of encryption in which information is transformed into a string of random numbers and letters; this code cannot be linked back to the original email address. Hashed email addresses are provided to a Marketing Service Provider, where they are compared to the Marketing Service Provider's own database of users' hashed information, and then our adverts are displayed to the Users whose information matches the Marketing Service Provider's database. The Provider then deletes both the matched and mismatched hashes.

Please refer to our Cookie Policy for additional details on our use of cookies and other tracking technologies, as well as instructions on how to adjust your personal preferences in this regard.

These third parties may also put the information they acquire to their own use; for instance, they may combine it with data they already have in order to better tailor their advertising services to the needs of their other customers.

Facebook

When we use Facebook as a marketing service provider (including through the "Like" button), both Facebook Ireland and our company share responsibility for the data processing that occurs. Because of this arrangement, Ability 2 Love is providing you with this notice, but if you want to exercise your data protection rights, you should get in touch with Facebook. Facebook Ireland's Data Policy contains more details, such as how the company responds to requests to exercise your data protection rights and how it uses that information going forward in its capacity as an independent data controller. Email DPO@team.bumble.com if you have any questions about the agreement we have with Facebook.

Your activities on our website, such as your interactions with our Sites or other information gathered by cookies or similar technologies, such as the Facebook pixel, are examples of the types of data we may collect from you. Insights like these help us fine-tune our advertising strategies and provide you and those like you with more relevant advertisements (including on social media such as Facebook).

Fourth, PERCEPTIONS OF OTHERS.

We created these features because we think our Users are great and we want you to tell the world about how great you are. The goal of our App is to facilitate communication between you and other Users.

You should anticipate that anyone, including people who aren't Users of the Ability 2 Love App, will be able to see and access any content you post or submit on the App. Users should exercise caution when submitting personal information that could be made public.

Be cautious about sharing private information in your profile, such as your health status or religious affiliation. When you add particular Ability 2 Love badges to your profile, you may also be giving the site insight into personal details like your religion and political affiliation. While we encourage you to tell us about your sexual preferences when you create your profile, it is not required. Keep in mind that the photos you upload to Ability 2 Love may also reveal personal details about you. By adding a badge to your profile or otherwise uploading personal information, you give us permission to handle and display this information to other Users.

Users may view and share your Ability 2 Love profile and other information you make available via the App with individuals who may or may not be users of the App. This includes certain information added to your profile through third party accounts (such as Facebook, Instagram, or Spotify - see section 7 of this Privacy Policy for more information on this). If a User likes you and thinks you'd make a good match for one of their Facebook friends, that User can share a snapshot of your profile with those friends, regardless of whether or not those friends are also App users.

In accordance with local law, Ability 2 Love provides Users in South Korea the option to download a copy of their conversation history, but we cannot control what its users do with that information thereafter.

If you access the App through your Facebook or another third-party account on a device that you share with others, you must remember to log out of the App and the applicable third-party account before you leave the device to avoid unauthorised access to your Ability 2 Love account.

  1. OUR POSITION ON OLDER PEOPLE

Sorry kids, we realise Ability 2 Love is wonderful, but you'll have to come back when you're old enough to use the App, even though we want as many people as possible to enjoy our creation.

Ability 2 Love does not solicit or collect information from anyone under the age of 18 or use such information for marketing purposes. Please do not provide any personal information to us if you are less than 18 years of age. If it comes to our attention that a person under the age of 18 has registered with us and supplied us with personally identifying information, we will promptly delete that person's account.

SIXTH, SAFETY.

We at Bumble are committed to safeguarding your personal data against theft, abuse, and unauthorised access or disclosure in accordance with industry standards. Security measures, such as firewalls and encrypted storage, are among the steps we take to protect your information.

We cannot promise that your information will be totally safe against unauthorised access, hacking, data loss, or any other type of breach because no website or Internet communication can ever be 100% secure.

In order to protect your privacy, always log out of your Account when you're done using it.

  1. Your Ability 2 Love Account password is private and should not be shared with anybody.

You should periodically change your password.

Please follow the instructions below if you ever have reason to believe that an unauthorised party has gained access to your Account or password. Your personal information is transmitted to our site at your own risk, as we cannot ensure its security during transit.

7: INTEGRATING OTHER ACCOUNTS WITH BUMBLE.

Access Bumble with your existing social media credentials.

If you choose to log in to our app with your Facebook credentials, Facebook will receive your approval to share your name and profile image with us. You agree that Facebook may provide us with your email address (if one is associated with your Facebook account), date of birth, profile pictures, gender, Pages liked, and current location or town unless you opt out.

When you sign up for an Apple service or sign in with your Apple ID, Apple has your consent to share your Apple ID, a name (which you can change), and an email address (you can choose to hide your email and Apple will create a random email address so your personal email can stay private). Enter the email address you want associated with your Ability 2 Love account.

We'll use the information you provide to create your Ability 2 Love profile. You can prevent us from accessing this information by removing the Ability 2 Love app from your Facebook settings or from your Apple ID. Personal information you provided when you created your Ability 2 Love account with Facebook or Apple ID will, however, remain in our records (you must delete your Ability 2 Love account entirely for us to no longer have access to this data).

Connecting your Ability 2 Love profile to your other social media platforms

Ability 2 Love permits users to connect their profiles with those of Instagram, Facebook, and Spotify. Sharing information from these accounts with your Ability 2 Love account is now a breeze (for example, Instagram photos, or your top Spotify artists).

When you link your Instagram or Spotify account to your Ability 2 Love account, we only receive the information that Instagram or Spotify allows to be transferred (as described by Instagram/Facebook/Spotify and accepted by you when you first connect your account from such platforms with your Ability 2 Love account).

If you no longer wish to share content from Ability 2 Love on Instagram, Facebook, or Spotify, you may unlink your accounts by going to the respective social media platform's settings and revoking rights for the Ability 2 Love app. You must erase the information from your Ability 2 Love account as well, as it will not be removed from the other services.

By participating in these searchable BFF chat rooms, you agree that we may collect and disclose such highly personal information about you to other Users.

Unless they join the chat in question, BFF members won't be privy to the conversation going on within it.

Further, to the extent that the operator collects personal information about a consumer over time and across third-party online services, the operator must disclose how it responds to "do not track" signals or similar methods that give customers the chance to exercise choice. Individuals have the right to know what data an organisation is collecting on them and why (we provide this information to you in this Privacy Policy).

In accordance with your right of access, you have the option of obtaining a copy of your information by submitting a request to the data controller.

Third, you have the "right to rectification" if any of your personal information that we have stored is incorrect.

Right to erasure — the ability to have one's data erased under specific conditions.

Fifth, you have the right to restrict processing, which means that under certain conditions you can ask that your data be suppressed from further use but still be stored.

Sixth, you have the "right to data portability," which allows you to obtain a copy of your information in a machine-readable format so that you can give it to an other service provider if you so choose.

Seventh, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for specific reasons (such as when it is being used for direct marketing or because of legitimate interests).

In cases where a person's rights are affected by a decision made entirely by automated processing, such as in the case of profiling, there are various rights linked to this subject. In such a situation, one of your rights is to demand human involvement in the decision-making procedure.

Depending on where you live, the specific set of rights that apply to you may differ from those described above. You should educate yourself on the privacy protections afforded to you by the laws of your country.

To learn about our biometric information retention policy, please refer to "Profile Verification Information (Including Biometric Information)" in Section 1 above.

Any information associated with your Account that has been deleted or deactivated by us will no longer be accessible within the App. If your Account was deleted or deactivated in error, you have up to 28 days to request a restoration. We will start to delete your personal information from our systems after 28 days unless: 1. we need to keep it to comply with applicable law (for example, if you make purchases within the App, some personal data may be kept for tax and accounting purposes); or 2. we need to keep it to evidence our compliance with applicable law (for example, if an account is blocked, we keep some account information and a record of the behaviour that led to the block - this information may be kept for up to 7 years) (for example, information may need to be kept to prevent a user who was banned for unsafe behaviour or security incidents from opening a new account).

Be aware that if you delete information from your profile or your Account, others may still be able to view and/or access copies of that information if they have already shared, copied, or saved it. We have no say in this and take no responsibility for it happening. To the extent permitted by their terms of service or privacy policies, third-party applications or websites to which you have granted access to your personal information may retain such information.

We appreciate you reading this and apologise if we rambled on for too long.
